Tribal Artist’s Welfare
India has a rich cultural folk tradition. Folklore arts, beliefs, rites and rituals, myths, rural handicrafts etc. are factors that enrich our folk-tradition. Many kinds of Indian tribal art can be seen on the walls of ancient palaces, temple ceilings, solid structures, fabrics, paper, etc. These tribal art forms passed on from generation to generation which generally depicts religious tales, daily life, general stories, and a great alternate to view them instead of reading. All states of India have their own unique art forms. Indian art forms belong to a specific tribe and they are known as the expert in particular art forms. These art skills were passed on from generation to generation. nowadays fashionistas are promoting these art skills on various mediums like fashionable dressing, home decor articles, while preserving the ethics of paintings.
These tribal artists are doing great job for our society as they are preserving our real hidden treasure for years. But they face many problems in their day to day life.

There is need of carrying tribal artist’s welfare program through different activities continuously to overcome these problems or to reduce the gravity of these problems.
Steps to be taken to solve tribal problems
- Commercialization of folk art and culture for their profitable running is one of the instrumental ways to survive the folk forms.
- Conservation of their innate beauty, inherent quality and core ideology is essential.
- Effective campaigning and publicity of these elements may actualize a mass attraction towards folk art and culture.
- The pattern of the presentation of these tribal/ folk art and cultural forms should be modified and strategically altered to make them more vibrant to meet the recreational demand of the present generation.
- Guidance and help to upgrade their production skills.
- Providing online and offline platform to promote and sell their art
- Helping them to meet their basic daily needs through their skills.
- Providing supports through scholarships and awards to their kids who shows excellence in folk/tribal art.
- Guiding and providing hygiene and sanitization in tribal areas.
- Arranging free medical camps for tribal community with free medicines.
- Implementing program to improve health and nutrition in tribal.
- Educating and helping them to overcome language barriers.
